South Africa July Unrest

South Africa was faced with a series of lootings, vandalism and damaging of malls across KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, this is after the former President "Jacob Zuma" was incarcerated for contempt of court, this led the country into an unrest whereby more than 140 malls were looted across South Africa, 200 people lost their lives during this unrest and more than a 100 injuries were reported.

The following Photographs depict the aftermath of the looting that took place at "Evaton Mall" located in the Gauteng province.
No shops were left unturned inside the mall, every shop was broken into, pieces of debris and broken glass lay on floor after looters broke the glass down to gain entry.
The SANDF made their way to the streets of Orange farm to restore peace and calm, this saw 25 000 police officers being deployed in the parts of Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.
The SANDF was deployed by the President following the failure of the SAPS to protect and bring calm in the country, the President agreed  while addressing the nation that the "Security force of the coutry was caught sleeping" which then led to this massive unrest.
